Website Refresh

Your website works. It just no longer represents the business well.

A full rebuild is not always the sensible answer. If the site is structurally usable but looks dated, feels confusing, has weak mobile presentation or no longer reflects what your business actually offers, I can refresh the experience without starting again from zero.

Common refresh jobs

Improve the parts that make the site feel old, unclear or ineffective.

A refresh can be visual, structural or conversion-focused. The scope depends on what is already working and what is getting in the way.

Visual modernisation

Update typography, spacing, colour use, section layouts, imagery treatment and other visual details that make an otherwise usable site feel dated.

Navigation and structure

Clarify menus, page hierarchy and key routes so visitors can understand the site faster and reach important content with less friction.

Mobile experience

Improve layouts, spacing, buttons, content order and other issues that make the website awkward on phones and smaller screens.

Calls to action and clarity

Make services, offers and next steps easier to understand so the site does a better job of guiding visitors toward enquiry, purchase or another goal.

Focused improvement

Keep what still works. Improve what no longer does.

Website Refresh is for an existing site with enough useful structure to retain. The goal is to make it clearer, more current and more effective without creating a rebuild simply for the sake of one.

Homepage refresh

Rework the first impression, messaging hierarchy, section flow and calls to action on the page most visitors see first.

Service-page improvement

Clarify what you offer, who it is for, why it matters and what the visitor should do next.

Responsive polish

Improve layouts and content behaviour across desktop, tablet and mobile where the current site feels inconsistent.

Navigation cleanup

Simplify menus and page routes so important content is easier to find and the site feels less cluttered.

Content hierarchy

Improve headings, section order, visual emphasis and page flow so visitors can scan and understand the site more quickly.

Conversion touchpoints

Strengthen buttons, forms and enquiry paths where the current experience makes the next step too easy to miss.

How it works

A practical route from tired site to sharper experience.

The refresh begins with what you already have, not with an assumption that everything needs replacing.

01

Send the site

Share the URL, what feels wrong and any pages or issues you want prioritised.

02

I review the current state

I identify what can reasonably be retained and where the biggest clarity, design or usability problems sit.

03

We agree scope

You receive a defined refresh scope, price and expected turnaround before the work begins.

04

I make the improvements

I update the agreed pages and components while preserving useful content and existing functionality where practical.

05

Review & hand over

I check the refreshed experience across key pages and devices and explain what changed.

What to send

Show me what feels outdated, confusing or weak.

Send the website URL, the pages you care about most, what you want the site to communicate now, any brand updates, examples you like and the main action you want visitors to take. Screenshots with notes are useful if particular sections bother you.

FAQ

Before you request the refresh.

How is Website Refresh different from Website Rescue?

Website Rescue fixes something broken. Website Refresh improves a site that basically works but needs better design, structure, mobile presentation or conversion clarity.

How is a refresh different from a new website?

A refresh keeps useful parts of the existing site. Website Design is better when the current foundation is no longer worth preserving.

Can you refresh only the homepage?

Yes. A focused homepage refresh can be scoped separately when that is the main problem.

Will you change all of my content?

Not automatically. Existing content can be retained, reorganised or lightly refined depending on the agreed scope.

Can you improve the mobile version?

Yes. Responsive improvement is a common part of refresh work where the current mobile experience is weak.

Can the refresh include tracking or automation?

Yes, where specific tracking or integration work is included in the scope. Larger requirements may be better handled as separate services.

Website Refresh

Your site may not need replacing. It may just need a better version of itself.

Send the URL and tell me what feels dated, unclear or ineffective. I’ll tell you whether a focused refresh is the sensible route.
